Asda Brackmills in the community
Many of you will know Warren Cobb and Mike Reid, two fathers among our membership. Warren and Mike both work at the ASDA/GEORGE warehouse on Brackmills Industrial Estate and, through their efforts, DSGN has been awarded £125 as part of the ASDA BRACKMILLS IN THE COMMUNITY initiative. A number of charities had been nominated for support and all of the colleagues at the warehouse had a vote to select which one they wanted to help. DSGN tied with Northampton Association for the Blind – each receiving 112 votes and so shared the £250 donation. I had the pleasure of attending two meetings of ASDA colleagues last Friday, at which I received the cheque, thanked everyone involved, and had the opportunity to talk about Down Syndrome and DSGN. We thank ASDA and all their staff for this support and look forward to working with them in the future in furthering the Group’s objectives.
